1017 VEGAS HAPPENINGS TONY BENNETT - THE BEST IS YET TO COME Forget superheroes. All we’ve ever wanted to be growing up was Tony Bennett. Now that the smooth talking, sweet singing icon is returning to Las Vegas for a little bit, it’s our chance to meet our idol up close (provided his overprotective bodyguards don’t get in the way). How many people do you know of that had their first #1 hit in 1951 and are still relevant? We’re going to go ahead and guess not too many. Well, add Tony Bennett to the club, because that’s when he released “Because of You.” Since then, the man has only recorded masterpieces like “I Left My Heart in San Francisco” and “Rags to Riches.” Heard of ‘em? If not, maybe you’ll be familiar with his 19 Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards and the more than 50 million records he’s sold. Oh, and he was named an NEA Jazz Master and a Kennedy Center Honoree. Step your knowledge game up. Utility belts, capes and masks are for phonies. The only costume we need to be like our favorite superhero is a tailored suit and some matching shoes. Bennett performs November 1-11 at The Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas, and tickets start at $111 and are available at RINGO STARR AND HIS ALL-STARR BAND & TODD RUNDGREN Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band and Todd Rundgren rock Planet Hollywood October 13-28 in the Planet Hollywood Showroom. When you name your kid “Ringo Starr,” there’s only one of two things they can grow up to be: a rock star or an exotic dancer. Thankfully he decided to be a rock star because he has changed the course of music history forever. Ringo Starr might be famous from The Beatles, but he didn’t let that breakup define his music destiny. He used his fame and took a journey that made him even more famous – we didn’t think that was possible, but look at him now. He’s had loads of top 10 hits, he’s been knighted by the Queen of England and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There’s nothing this man can’t do. Tickets start at $85.21 and are available at
